KITE STEPS DOWN FROM QUESTAR BOARD

SALT LAKE CITY — Marilyn S. Kite has stepped down from Questar Corporation's board of  directors following her appointment to the Wyoming State Supreme Court.

Ms. Kite joined Questar's board in 1997 and served on various committees. She has represented numerous oil-and-gas, coal, uranium and other mineral interests in state and federal proceedings. She is a partner in the regional law firm of Holland and Hart and practices law in Jackson, Wyo.

R.D. Cash, Questar chairman, president and chief executive officer, said, "We want to congratulate Marilyn on her new position on the Supreme Court. This is quite an honor, not to mention she will be the first woman to be appointed to this position in the state. Her extensive background in natural-resource law has benefitted Questar and will be invaluable in her new position. We appreciate Marilyn's service to Questar during a period of rapid growth in our exploration and production activity."

Questar Corp. is a $2.3 billion integrated natural gas company. Through various subsidiaries, it engages in regulated and nonregulated (Market Resources) natural gas and energy services. Market Resources' activities include natural gas and oil exploration and production; energy marketing; and gas gathering and field services. Regulated activities include retail gas distribution and interstate gas transmission and storage.
